THE AREA BEHIND THE FRONT. THESE CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE WITH THE 
ONGOING DROUGHT AND ACTIVE WILDFIRES TO PRODUCE CRITICAL FIRE 
WEATHER CONDITIONS. 
 
...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT 
FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE NORTH CAROLINA 
MOUNTAINS... 
 
* LOCATIONS...THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS. 
 
* TIMING...THE REMAINDER OF THE EVENING. 
 
* WINDS...NORTHWEST 10 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH AT 
HIGHER ELEVATIONS. 
 
* HUMIDITY...GRADUALLY RECOVERING ABOVE 60 PERCENT BY MIDNIGHT. 
 
* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS...LOW RELATIVE 
HUMIDITY AND EXTREMELY DRY VEGETATION BROUGHT ON BY THE 
DROUGHT WILL RESULT IN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR THE 
RAPID SPREAD AND GROWTH OF WILDFIRE.
